The itinerary was always subject to the weather but there was always a plan ‘b’ or even ‘c’. Following in the footsteps of Shacleton, Tom Crean etc was brilliant made even better by the experts on board and in the field. The whole trip could not be faulted and for this full credit to all the staff.

Antarctica Classic
Antarctica ClassicThis was the trip of a lifetime! Even in the "cheapest" room (4 of us shared 1), I felt well cared for. The food was excellent and the support staff were always friendly and helpful - my cabin steward even knew my name. The excursions were well thought out with both our safety and interest in mind. The guides were super knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to share information and point out animals and other points of interest. Antarctica is such a beautiful place and I love that the ship was small enough to get us close enough to actually walk on the continent.

Journey to the Antarctic Circle (Ocean Endeavour)I absolutely loved this trip; it was perfect for me and my daughter. What you should know about us is that we are up for adventure and don't expect to be treated like royalty. This trip was an "excursion", not a "cruise", so do not sign up if you are expecting multiple restaurants, live entertainment, or other such luxuries. But, if you want to have the experience of a lifetime, explore the last great wilderness on the planet, and learn more about how you can help conserve that wilderness, this is a fantastic trip. The itinerary changes day by day depending on the weather, but you just might find an unexplored cove to explore/chart for future trips (we did!) or be the southernmost commercial ship on the planet (we were!). You might have a whale swim under your boat and then pop up its head to say hello, or a penguin momma show off her egg. And you might have 20 foot waves in the Drake Passage. Go in with the willingness to adapt and you will love it!

Classic Antarctica - 10 daysWe can’t say enough good things about this tour, the ship and the crew. Our time on board was fantastic. Our captain had a great deal of experience and we felt completely safe at all times on the ship. The expedition team were knowledgable and friendly, and all the crew from the deck hands to the bridge went out of their way to be helpful and kind. The food was wonderful, the scenery unbelievable and the small passenger group made us all into friends by the end of the journey. If you have ever wanted to visit the White Continent, book your trip on the MV Ushuaia and be prepared to have the experience of a lifetime!!
